Role Summary:

The Controls Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment. Has the experience or expertise to solve problems.

Able to develop and execute objectives for self and others. This role has the ability to effect short term and some long term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead improvement projects

Responsible for programming and integration of PLC controls into existing equipment

Responsible for designing and developing new control systems

Responsible for Testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems

Support Production by troubleshooting and programming existing equipment


Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4

years of experience with control systems

Minimum of 5 years of experience in control systems

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the

Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Good interpersonal skills to allow productive collaborative relationships with inside customers, vendors, operations, mechanical and technical personnel

Track record of fostering a respectful work environment

Ability to influence others and lead small teams

Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact

Proven analytical and organizational ability

Four years or more of demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial or manufacturing environment

Working knowledge of DCS, PLC and single loop controllers. Preferably should have working knowledge of GE PAC systems, GE Fanuc, CompactLogix

Self motivated and have great attention to detail

Training and experience with Process Hazard Analysis, root cause failure analysis, environmental and quality


Strong trouble shooting skills

Responsibilities As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) you will be responsible for both uplifting and maintaining our evolving technology platforms, infrastructure and technology controls. As an SRE, your role will include both oversight for production operations of our systems, as well as development/engineering of solutions to maximize system reliability & automation. Your role will include root cause analysis of incidents and pro-active prevention of recurrence thru the creative design and development of technical solutions as well as process improvements. You will work with a global team responsible for a mission critical business function, and will partner with Infrastructure, Operations and AD teams to identify and implement automation opportunities to drive down toil, reduce technical debt and improve system reliability.
