Advanced Cardio Cath Lab Tech

Provides patient care under the supervision of the Staff Nurse to include but not limited to assisting with ADL#s specimen collection (non-invasive), transportation of patients monitored/unmonitored, patient preparation for procedures, and collection of vital signs, IV starts, finger stick for capillary blood glucose testing, prepared sterile tables for procedures and unit specific procedures/tasks which require documented competencies.# Responsible for the removal of arterial and venous sheath(s) post cardiac procedure until hemostasis is obtained. Performs patient rounding during hospitalization and post discharge follow-up phone calls.

Responsible for charting and reporting functions. Liaison for families, staff and physicians. #Responsible for fulfillment of Houston Healthcare mission, values and quality commitment.# Participates as a team member to ensure appropriate resources are available to all internal and external customers. High School graduate or GED equivalent.# Completion of a vocational training program as a Paramedic.

Two (2) years# experience as a Paramedic. Current Georgia Paramedic certification. Current AHA BLS certification.# Successful completion of an HHC Basic Rhythm Interpretation Course or CLEP Exam within nine (9) months of hire.

Must be able to utilize standard office equipment, diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment, and personal protective equipment such as gloves, gown, mask, etc. Basic computer skills required. # Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
