The Cardiovascular Advance Practice Practitioner (NP or PA) is responsible for providing care in an advanced practice role, under approved protocols, in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement and APP scope of practice.# The APP, under the direction of #the Medical Director of Cardiology, will provide cardiovascular medical management in an ambulatory clinic setting for adults,# including general and preventative care, conduct physical examinations, treat and manage cardiovascular disease, order diagnostic testing and labs, and prescribe medications.# This role will be responsible for performing pharmacological and exercise nuclear stress and echo stress testing, management of patients with cardiovascular disease, heart failure, Coumadin clinic, interpretation and management of pacemaker/AICD telephonic monitoring and overflow of outpatient clinics. REQUIRED Advanced Practice RN or Physician Assistant American Heart Assn BLS (CPR card) required.

NR709: DNP Project & Practicum IV The focus of this course is on evaluation of evidence-based practice change using advanced nursing judgment in the practicum setting.
