This role will be part of the Deposit Interest Rate Pricing team which manages the pricing function directly supporting the Deposits Products Group within Payments, Virtual Solutions and Innovation (PVSI). The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Cards and Retail Services, Deposit Products Group, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Payment Solutions, and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. Its guiding principles are to start with the customer, move faster, and partner effectively.
The Wells Fargo Deposit Products Group (DPG) within PVSI offers innovative checking, savings and payment solutions that form the core of our customers' relationship with Wells Fargo and fulfill a broad array of their financial needs. The Deposit Interest Rate Pricing team is responsible for:
Managing interest rate pricing and portfolio profitability decisions for Wells Fargo's consumer and small business deposit portfolio supporting deposit balance growth and yield management objectives
Conducting extensive external competitive benchmarking analysis and collaborating with DPG, Community Banking, Finance and Marketing partners to formulate and execute our interest rate pricing strategies
Completing complex analysis to understand the impact of interest rate changes on the performance of our business
Providing strategic financial advice and counsel to business and functional senior leaders
The Deposit Interest Rate Pricing team has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Financial Analytics Consultant. The Advanced Financial Analytics Consultant will specifically:
Construct financial, competitive and customer analyses to formulate consumer and small business deposits interest rate change recommendations and present to senior management
Use account, competitor and market share data to drive deeper into customer and banker behavior to evaluate strategies and inform senior management
Provide financial analysis for business decision making including insight into business drivers, trends and performance
Support profitability and yield management efforts, which include identifying, analyzing and reporting on financial impacts of deposit pricing and product changes
Optimize product pricing for profitability and business growth
Support pricing areas of focus including governance, strategy & tactical frameworks, portfolio optimization, elasticity models, pricing tests and other analyses
This position offers direct interaction with product management teams, leadership across Finance, Treasury and the lines of business. Key success factors are strong financial acumen with solid modeling, data and business partnering skills.

A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis
Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to gather, organize, and interpret data
SQL or SAS experience
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
Financial industry experience
Ability to present results of analyses and recommendations to senior leaders
Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
Experience using business knowledge and critical thinking skills to deliver upstream and downstream project impacts
