Adult Services Nurse (RN/LPN)

Wage: LPN $30.00-$33.00, RN $33.00-$36.75

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility of medical needs for assigned individuals residing in individual apartments or group homes, including monitoring their medical needs and assuring necessarily follow up so that their health, safety and well-being are provided for, including, but not limited to, timely medical, dental, visual and psychiatric appointments related to general or specific health needs.

• Advocate for and/or support individuals, families and guardians, as appropriate.

• Assure satisfaction of all customers, including individuals, family, guardians, physicians, referral sources, funding sources and employees.

• Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.

• Review and assure that documentation from direct support professionals and outside professionals is complete, accurate and timely.

• Ensure agency and consultant (pharmacist, dietician, therapists, etc.) compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

• Provide training to direct service professionals in the areas of medication administration, preventive health care, universal precautions, first aid, nutrition, and new policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience for an RN or an LPN with at least 4 years' experience

• At least 1 years' experience in nursing with MR/DD persons is preferred.
