Admitting Representative (Pt, Variable) Monterey Park Hospital

Overview

Monterey Park Hospital is a 101-bed acute care community hospital providing our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 50 years. We are currently recruiting for a part time, 8 Hour, non-exempt Admitting Representative to work in our Admitting Department. The shifts and days off will vary.

Responsibilities

The Admitting Representative is responsible for greeting the patient as they arrive, registering patients into the hospital's ADT system, verifying and validating all the patient information, including medical insurance, and delivering that information to the different service units. These tasks are performed in a variety of settings such as, ER Department, Outpatient and direct admit transfers. The Admitting Rep will also take PBX rotations as needed.

Qualifications

Knowledge of patient registration process.

Knowledge of HMO's, PPO, Capitation, Medi-Cal, Medicare, Worker's Comp., HIPAA & EMTALA.

Excellent Customer Service skills are necessary, over the counter collection skills and Bilingual English/Spanish language skills preferred.

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

2 years of experience preferred.

Heartsaver CPR & AB508 certifications must be obtained within 90 days upon employment.
