Assists with all administrative job duties in admissions including, but not limited to, review of Resident Care Agreements, (RCA), with residents/families; initiating documents in Care Feed; updating Accushield Kiosks; communicating admissions to healthcare team; entering demographic information in EMR; assists medical biller as needed.

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Enters new admission demographic information into electronic medical records

  • Initiates Resident Care Agreement and other required admission documents

  • Reviews Agreements with residents and family and obtains their signature in-person or electronically

  • Distributes Resident Handbook

  • Sends out admission email to team

  • Adds resident's name to Accushield Kiosk

  • Processes, submits and tracks direct deposits for resident's incomes.

  • Processes, tracks and submits payments for medical insurance premiums.

  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

IV. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • Must have medical billing and insurance experience.

  • Must be computer literate and competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of spelling, English, and grammar.

  • Must possess the ability to work under pressure with interruptions.

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

  • Must possess good computer skills.

  • Must have a sense of responsibility and integrity in handling confidential material.

  • Must provide attention to detail and possess a high degree of accuracy in performing duties.

V. LICENSES/ CERTIFICATIONS

  • None required.

  • Billing and coding or insurance certifications preferred.
