Verification of pertinent information (name, DOB, SS#, address, phone, emergency contact and PCP)

Confirm patient insurance coverage is active

Medicare patient need to meet medical necessity (Healthworks must run to establish necessity) Call to office if diagnosis fails for the exam)

Confirm deductible, co-pay and co-insurance amounts

Price quote if needed (find CPT code, confirm expected reimbursement rate and explain the patient's responsibility due)

Verify if authorization is needed

Verify that order for the exam is on file and matches the scheduled procedure

Scan ID, insurance cards and physician's order

Explain and secure consents for treatment and assignment of benefits

Armband placement

Collection of copay, deductibles

Answering incoming calls, Connecting ordering physicians / surgeons with Radiologists via phone

Faxing reports to physicians offices (30 per day now)

Processing patient results letters and stuffing envelopes to be mailed out daily (30 per day now)

Processing patient appointment reminder letters and stuffing envelopes (30 per day now)

Calling patients the day before exam to remind them of appointment (30 per day)

Data input for MQSA tracking system

Checking out images, Burning CD's

Registering, pre-authing unscheduled walk in patients (adds about 15 minutes to normal registration process)

Screening history forms and Screening for Genetic Testing program

Scanning screening forms into PACS after complete

Online REGIE registration updates

Pull charts for all next day appointments. Averages about 30 - 40 charts for per day

Task list for update of PCP information

::Two to Five years registration experience. Previous computer entry experience and able to type 40 WPM with accuracy in spelling.

Knowledge of insurance requirements and/or third party reimbursement. Familiar with medical terminology.

Able to communicate effectively and demonstrate service excellence through appropriate response and use of constructive problem solving techniques when confronted with different people or situations. Use of effective communication skills which foster positive outcomes.

Able to maintain a high awareness of patient satisfaction and team work. Able to pay attention to detail and work in a stressful environment

Must be flexible in work schedule showing ability to work weekends, holidays and varied shifts as needed for appropriate departmental coverage. Must be willing to learn duties and responsibilities of other positions within the Admissions Department and to float to these positions when assigned.

The Manager is responsible for the oversight of the hospital-wide Infection Prevention (IP) and Control program to ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, licensing and other industry standards. This responsibility includes: risk assessment, surveillance, prevention and control strategies and include consultation related to: high level disinfection, environmental controls, occupational health, construction and emergency management. Development, implementation and evaluation of IP plan and related policies as well as required data reporting to various regulatory agencies. Utilizes principle of epidemiology and serves as a resource for federal, state and local requirements regarding infection prevention and occupational health. Responsible for reporting of collection and analysis of infection data, evaluation of products and procedures. Development and review of policies, consultation on infection risk assessment, prevention and control strategies and includes but is not limited to education , implementation of changes mandated by regulatory, accrediting, and licensing agencies and reporting communicable diseases to health departments; participation in research projects and product evaluation and approval process related to Infection Prevention. Job Requirements Education: BS in Nursing, Epidemiology or other relevant biomedical science. Graduate degree preferred Experience: Minimum 3 in clinical infection prevention role Licensure: Licensure as required by state for area of basic professional practice Other: Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, strong computer skills and customer service skills required.
