GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Contributes to the company by ensuring that patients are admitted efficiently, courteously, and in a timely manner. This includes providing accurate demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate coding, billing, and claims submission.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Responsible for accurately performing all functions of patient admissions, including reviewing all information with patient, completing appropriate forms, and copying appropriate insurance cards and photo identification.

  • Collects and documents all collections actions for patient co-payment and deductibles at the time of service as applicable and issues appropriate payment receipts.

  • Performs routine clerical and administrative functions, including answering incoming phone calls.

  • Prepares patient charts and pulls previous medical records if applicable. Collects and delivers charts when requested.

  • Performs insurance verification when necessary.

  • Manages the reception area and greets patients and family members in a professional manner.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum (1) year of experience in a medical office setting highly preferred. (i.e. ambulatory surgery center, hospital, doctors office) preferred.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required as per facility standard.

Web Announcement University Registrar The Position and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Associate Provost for Academic Initiatives & Services, the University Registrar provides strategic planning, direction and management for a staff of approximately 36 individuals on multiple campuses. The University Registrar must provide dynamic leadership and thoughtful administration in an environment of perennial change. Finally, the University Registrar, or designee, serves as the Chair of the Academic Procedures Advisory Committee, participates on the Policy Management Group, on the university's Athletic Council, and on the Registrar's Committee of the Consortium of Universities in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Required Qualifications: The successful candidate must meet the following minimal qualifications: * A master's degree; * Substantial demonstrated experience (five years is preferred) in a college or university registrar's office; * Experience as a registrar or associate registrar in a public university; * Strong communication skills; * Evidence of collaborative leadership and strong personal integrity; * Ability to work with diverse university constituents; * Significant managerial experience and demonstrated accomplishments on major projects requiring innovation and creative thinking; * Strong analytical, planning, writing, organization skills; * A sound understanding of university governance structures, and academic policies and regulations in higher education.
