Job Description:

This is a part time position. The temporary MASS Reconnect Admissions Outreach Assistant will assist the Admissions/Enrollment teams with delivering information and speaking to prospective and current students about opportunities around free college. The MASS Reconnect Admissions Outreach Assistant performs duties including outreach to local stakeholders, and delivering them information via phone, in person, and online. They will provide digital and hardcopy information about Quincy College and their ongoing events, programs and initiatives. In addition, they will follow up and develop a relationship with organizations and guide individuals through their time at Quincy College.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop a relationship with local community organizations, prospective students and residents to help educate them on the offerings of Quincy College and our current initiatives.

  • Provide feedback and data as necessary and as requested by managers.

  • Represent the College with a positive and professional presentation to local organizations, businesses, students and prospective students.

  • Attend and speak at events while representing the college and its mission.

  • Provide clear and accurate information to local businesses, students and prospective students.

  • Schedules appointments to meet with prospective and current students to provide information about the College and to address their issues and concerns;

  • Assist incoming students with navigating the admissions and enrollment process while here at the college.

  • Assists in all college functions, including but not limited to, orientations, open house events, welcome sessions, commencement, honors Convivium, community and college meetings

  • Work with other departments as needed to drive the missions of the college and its initiatives

  • Strictly adheres to Quincy College policies.

  • Must be punctual for all scheduled shifts.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.

  • Ability to present overview of college mission and programs

  • Ability to communicate to local businesses, residents, high school administration and prospective students

  • Ability to brainstorm recruitment strategies with academic and administrative departments

  • Proven competence in managing multiple tasks and completing priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast paced work environment.

  • Ability to build relationships with faculty, co-workers, students, parents and other staff.

  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

  • Understanding of and commitment to the mission, vision and strategic plan.

  • Commitment to student success and enhancement of diversity.
