Director of Admissions:
Provides leadership in Admissions to ensure a safe and high quality level of care for psychiatric/chemical dependency patients. Responsible for nursing care, medical screening, and triage for all psychiatric/chemical dependency patients presenting for assessment and evaluation. Responsible for coordinating the admission process for inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient programs and to facilitate referrals for outpatient treatment services and other community resources.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate knowledge and skill in provision of services to varied population of patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.
Education: Master's Degree required in a behavioral health field.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable. Two (2) years of supervisory experience required.
Licensure/Certification: RN, LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or applicable license. CPR certification required.
Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
May be required to work extended hour to include weekends.
