Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Director of Admissions, the primary role of this position is to manage admissions, recruitment, and enrollment within an assigned territory to meet specific targeted enrollment goals for Southwestern College. In addition, this position will recruit prospective students for the purpose of enrollment, working with students through all stages of the admissions process.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Outreach and Recruitment to include:

  • Recruit within an assigned territory and meet the established recruitment goals.

  • Respond quickly and effectively via email, phone calls, text messages, and other communication methods to connect with prospective students.

  • Develop relationships with prospective students while serving as a personal point of contact through the entire admissions process including: application, transcripts, and financial aid.

  • Work in tandem with the faculty, staff, and administration to maximize recruitment efforts.

  • Utilize all recruitment technology devoted to organizing and holding student data for the purposes of interdepartmental communication and strategic recruitment.

  • Participate in all on-campus recruiting and scholarship events including some evening and weekend events and travel.

  • Display a professional attitude and presence in all aspects of the job.

Travel to include:

  • Work with the Director of Admission and the Vice President for Enrollment Management to determine travel plans for recruitment.

  • Represent Southwestern College at College & Career Fairs, High School & College Visits, Special Events, and other external recruitment-based efforts.

Territory Management:

  • Sign up for college fairs, arrange meetings at high schools with prospective students, and secure venue locations for admissions meetings in designated geographic markets.

  • Manage all aspects of recruitment travel in assigned territory.

  • Evaluate recruitment travel on an ongoing basis to find opportunities for improvement in strategic enrolment goals, in consultation with the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Director of Admissions.

  • Manage scholarship and estimate coordination for students in assigned territory through enrollment process.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a four-year degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking.

  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to serve.

  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license

  • Experience working in Web, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Media platforms, and be skilled in managing basic office tasks.
