Serve with the department director, managers, and team to provide professional, prompt, and friendly interaction with prospective students. This role promotes the seminary and its programs effectively to prospective students by focusing on communicating Westminster's theological and methodological distinctives, in addition to its core values and mission, while walking through the logistics of student life. This role focuses on student recruitment, student support, and student yielding across all Westminster residential degree programs.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Contacting and recruiting prospective students over phone and email

  • Interacting with students in the admissions process (application requirements, TOEFL requirements,)

  • Facilitating individual on-campus visits for students

  • Organize and oversee prospective student days

  • Assist virtual prospective student days

  • Assist with and travel to external conferences and recruiting events

  • Leads the historical theological campus tours

  • Assist and oversee on campus events

  • Help transition students into the local community by assisting them with employment, finding a local church and housing.

  • Inform students of financial aid options

Requirements

  • Completed at least one full year in the MAR or MDiv program at Westminster OR

  • In-depth understanding of Westminster's theological distinctives, history, and faculty

  • Highly motivated and proactive

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Keen attention detail in verbal and written communication

  • Strong organizational abilities

  • Excellent customer service and student support skills

  • Proficient administrative skills required

  • Proficient technological skills required

  • This job operates primarily in an academic environment.

  • This is an on-campus position.

  • This is a part-time, non-exempt position, approx. 20 hrs per week.
