Job Description
Stevens Institute of Technology, a premier private research university located in Hoboken, New Jersey, overlooking the Manhattan skyline, is seeking a dedicated Admissions Coordinator to join our Office of Undergraduate Admissions. With a commitment to preparing over 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students for an increasingly complex and technology-centric world, Stevens leverages a multidisciplinary approach that integrates finance, computing, engineering, and the arts to address the most pressing challenges of our time through innovative teaching and research.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Admissions Counselors in evaluating prospective students and providing recommendations for admission to the university.
Serve as a representative of Stevens Institute of Technology during both virtual and in-person recruitment activities, fostering positive connections with prospective students.
Communicate effectively with prospective students via email and phone, particularly during peak recruitment and yield seasons
Assist in organizing and executing recruitment and admissions events both on and off campus, contributing to the success of these initiatives.
Undertake additional duties as assigned
Admissions Coordinators will be expected to:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Valid Driver's License
High attention to detail
High attention to customer service
Strong interpersonal skills with diverse constituents
Ability to work independently and within a team culture
Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with on-campus, virtual events, and off-campus activities
Strong written communication skills
Strong public speaking skills
Proficient in a Windows-based computer environment
