  • A business professional whose primary functions are to assist the department director in generating income for the facility through the maintenance and expansion of reciprocal business referrals and relationships throughout the city and state, and to assist the director in overseeing and supervising the sales and marketing operations for the facility.

  • Assists in conducting research of the post-acute and long-term care markets to create an effective and successful marketing plan.

  • Assists the director with assessing potential clients for admission, sustaining business partnerships, and generating new business resulting from the departments strategic plan for each prospect, from initial inquiry through the final decision to admit to the facility.

  • Assists with a detailed focus on relation to the income generated versus medical costs, medication costs, medical costs, and payer source eligibility and benefits of the prospect, which are necessary to ensure covered claims for timely reimbursement.

  • Reinforces the Emory Healthcare brand reputation and assists in achieving maximum occupancy goals and revenue growth.

  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the senior care market and the facilitys niche in the post-acute / long-term care market. Assists the department director with hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and monitoring department staff. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

  • Must have one year related experience to include insurance verification and prior authorization for admission, customer service experience and strong MicroSoft Office skills to include PowerPoint, MicroSoft Word, and EXCEL. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
