POSITION: Admissions Coordinator - CPHS
DEPARTMENT: College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences/Admissions & Student Affairs
STATUS: Full Time
Primary responsibilities include coordination of all admission and enrollment activities for the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences' professional, graduate, and BS in Nursing programs. CPHS programs include the Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Physician Assistant Practice, Master of Athletic Training, MS in Clinical Research, MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, MS in Public Health and the undergraduate BS in Nursing. Process incoming student information and files for the graduate and professional programs. Maintain meticulous records and reports related to applicants and application files. Provide direction, communication and coordinate interviews and events with student ambassadors in assigned programs. Provide superior customer service to prospective applicants and incoming students by providing status updates, answering admissions questions, and providing accurate and timely matriculation information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Process and maintain applications utilizing Radius by Campus Management and centralized application systems and ensure student files are complete. This includes: application fee, submitted application, official transcripts, test scores, immunizations, Honor Code, deposits, etc.
Evaluate application credentials for interview and admissions decision making
Maintain accurate and timely records for all accepted applicants to the assigned programs
Enter accepted student information into Colleague and activate appropriate academic program
Update accepted students' GPAs, application notes, visa status, application status, etc. in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
Evaluate applicants for scholarship eligibility and send timely updates
Coordinate admissions interviews for assigned programs and attend admission committee meetings
Provide timely and customer-friendly communications to applicants on their current application status and decisions
Review background checks, substance abuse screenings, and immunizations of all incoming CPHS students, as required by the assigned program
Supervise and coach/mentor federal and institutional student workers and graduate assistants
Coordinate with student affairs, other coordinators, and admissions counselors to plan accepted student events, open houses, orientations and other CPHS sponsored events
Serve as staff advisor for student ambassador groups for assigned program
Work with appropriate departments in CPHS and the University to assist in planning frequent and timely dual degree information sessions for applicants
Respond to emails/phone calls daily regarding admissions and other various issues
Assist with recruiting events for prospective students this could require some travel
Attend annual conferences and keep up-to-date on graduate and professional admissions

Bachelor's degree preferred
1-3 years office experience is required
Admissions experience in higher education is strongly preferred
Knowledge of an experience with online computer systems is highly desired
Extensive knowledge of University processes is highly desired
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, administration and professionals
Must have the ability to multi-task as well as manage and deal with unique problems that may arise
Must possess intellectual curiosity, integrity, motivation, problem-solving skills, resiliency, and self-awareness
Must be a self-starter and critical thinker
Moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs.), moving tables, event set-up and tear-down
Driving the university vehicles loading and unloading materials
Must be well-organized and task-oriented
Ability to manage stressful situations and multi-task
