Hybrid or On Campus On Campus Position Summary

The Associate Director of Admissions serves as a key member of the University's enrollment team. The Associate Director is responsible for collaborating in the development and execution of the recruitment plan, coordinating outreach activities and events, and identifying strategies the support special populations. The Associate Director supervises the Transfer, CRM, and Orientation teams in the Admissions Office.

Responsibilities

Recruitment, Outreach, and Data Management (60%)

  • Collaborate with the Admissions Leadership Team, CRM Manager, and DOTS to ensure the functionality and system requirements of all recruitment and admissions activities within Slate; identify and execute additional process improvements.

  • Discover and communicate significant patterns, trends, and stories with data; provide recommendations based on analysis.

  • Collaborate with campus partners to identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues. Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity of prospect and applicant records.

  • Develop queries to extract, aggregate, and cleanse data from various sources. Maintain data sets to ensure reporting efficiency and accuracy.

  • Create and maintain meaningful, user-friendly reports and dashboards that can be used to inform recruitment and yield strategies, strengthen process/procedures, and create efficiencies within the Admissions Office.

  • Work closely with the Director of Admissions in the development and management of the university's recruitment plan. Coordinate and prioritize recruitment activities on behalf of the transfer team to ensure territory management is aligned with enrollment goals and strategic priorities.

  • Serve as a liaison to the Registrar's Office and UW System for transfer initiatives and working groups. Work collaboratively with the Registrar's Office and other campus partners to strengthen recruitment and enrollment efforts.

  • Manage the scholarship process for the awards administered by the Admissions Office, including the Scholarship Guarantee, Falcons Fly Higher, Study in Wisconsin, and Success scholarships. Work to maximize the enrollment impact of new student scholarships.

  • Lead the Admissions team in managing and understand data to develop more informed strategies to meet undergraduate enrollment goals. Analyze ROI for recruitment efforts to better allocate resources. Work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of all team members.

  • Administer the special visit and orientation budgets, ensuring responsible use of department resources.

Staff Supervision (30%)

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and support to the CRM Manager, Enrollment Technology Specialist, Transfer Coordinator, Multicultural Coordinator, and Orientation Coordinator to ensure enrollment goals are met on an ongoing basis.

  • Work closely with the Director and other members of the Admissions Leadership Team to create a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment where communication, trust, and accountability are valued.

Admissions and Enrollment Management (10%)

  • Positively represent UWRF to a wide variety of constituents, including prospective students and their families, secondary and postsecondary school personnel, community-based organizations, and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process.

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge in the field of admissions, recruitment, enrollment, and data management. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to undergraduate admissions.

  • Collaborate regularly and extensively with other academic and/or administrative units on campus to ensure optimal effectiveness throughout the recruitment, admission, and enrollment experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Qualifications Required:

  • Experience with building and maintaining an enrollment CRM; including collaborating with a division of technology services to integrate the CRM with the student information system. And optimizing the front user and student experience with the CRM.

  • Experience compiling, analyzing, and ensuring quality data to communicate trends and inform enrollment strategies.

  • Experience extracting, aggregating, and disaggregating data to ensure reporting efficiency and accuracy.

  • Evidence of strong written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must have the ability to positively represent the university, interact effectively with others, and maintain effective working relationships with campus partners.

  • Extensive experience with project and time management, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks for themselves and others.

  • Accuracy, attention to detail, follow-through, and reliability are extremely important in this position.

  • Commitment to managing and keeping sensitive information confidential.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Experience with scholarship award administration.

  • Background experience specifically with Slate.

  • Ability to manage a program budget and utilize resources responsibly.

  • Knowledge of UW transfer initiatives and working groups.

  • Ability to supervise and lead in a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive environment.
