Pay Rate: Pay Rate: Non-Licensed and Licensed Healthcare Professional $65,000 - $70,000 salary, depending on experience. ($31.25-$33.65/hour)

The McGuire Group and Absolut Care has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Admissions Screener to join our caring and knowledgeable team supporting our facilities within the Living Legends Portfolio. The admissions screener reviews all hospital admissions and transfers to the facility, working closely with the nursing staff and social services relating to the prospective resident's needs.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The successful candidate will perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Responsible for screening and recommending patients for long-term or subacute care

• Visit designated hospital assignments daily

• Knowledge of age-specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e., physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in carrying out the admissions process

• Coordinates room changes and inter-facility transfers upon request and following approval of resident's physician

• Interacts with residents and family members, co-workers, and clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental, supportive, and calm manner

• Maintains census for Living Legends facilities.

• Marketing the services provided by our facilities to the local communities, hospitals and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

• Social Work, LPN/ RN Nursing, Therapy, or another health-related field from an accredited institution preferred.

• Experience in Admissions Screening and long-term care is preferred.

• Must be flexible, professional, and reliable.

• Strong customer service skills

• Must possess a valid New York State Driver's License and have transportation available for job-related travel.
