Position Summary
Concordia University Wisconsin seeks applicants for the full-time, exempt position of Post Traditional and Graduate Admission Counselor This position is responsible for recruitment efforts and admissions of the post traditional and graduate leaners for in-person, virtual and online offerings. This position reports to the Director of Post Traditional Admissions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Recruitment, follow-up, and facilitation of admissions for students from initial inquiry through enrollment
Development of an annual recruitment/outreach plan with institutional partners the leverages partnership opportunities of new enrollment
Engagement with prospective students via phone, email, text, zoom, or in-person appointments to discuss and identify academic programs of interest that may be offered fully online or virtual formats
Representing Concordia University Wisconsin and Ann Arbor at college fairs, technical colleges, and corporation events interested in higher educational partnerships
Assisting in recruitment and interviewing new admission counselors
Supporting Director in training and mentoring new admission counselors
Facilitating team weekly meetings and/or one-on-one counselor sessions; when requested, represent admissions at departmental meetings and on special projects teams, as directed and in the stead of the Director
Participate in annual recruitment of post trad and grad admissions and uncover new markets for recruitment
Prepare statistical reports; prepare other related reports, correspondence, surveys as requested
Providing a 5-Star Experience
Working collaboratively with program directors, faculty, students, and staff
May perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent communication skills - written and oral, especially public speaking
Exceptional phone, text, and email skills and comfort with a large volume of inbound and outbound calls, emails, and texts
Understanding current university admission processes and requirements, university programs, majors, courses, developments in education, and financial aid
Experience with admission CRM software including SLATE and Banner
Ability to work independently and maintain a schedule; and work as an integral member of the admission team i.e.
Knowledge and skill in the areas of marketing and advertising
Knowledge and skill in use of computer and software common to the academic and office setting (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
Ability to work some weekends and evenings; overnight travel may be required
Ability to come into the office and attend events representing CUWAA (this is not a fully remote position)
Access to a personal automobile
Education & Experience
A bachelor's degree is required at minimum. A master's degree or pursuit of is preferred. Three to five years of professional work experience in academic admissions, marketing or sales is required.
