Dan Rak Design is a luxury interior design firm located in Chicagos West Town neighborhood. We are a quickly growing firm focused on luxury residential clients with some commercial work mixed in. While the majority of our projects are located in Chicago, we also take on projects located in other areas of the country from time to time.

Were currently looking to hire an administrative assistant with 1-3 years of experience in a similar position. Specifically, were looking for:
A team player with a great attitude and can-do mentality; As a group, we believe in taking initiative and stepping up to get the job done. Above all, were looking for someone eager to learn and grow within our business and the design industry as a whole;
A detail-focused individual with exceptional time-management skills, capable of handling and prioritizing multiple competing tasks and working within specific time constraints;
An individual who values and is capable of achieving a high-level of organization;
An effective communicator (both in writing and in person);
The ability to prioritize and balance competing demands.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- You will be working in an exciting, fast-paced industry in a studio setting with fun co-workers and great clients.
- Each day will be different. You'll be asked to perform varied tasks throughout the day and week - running errands, picking-up and delivering merchandise to clients, assisting with installations, or focused work with little to no interruptions.
- You will be working directly with our operations manager and will be asked to place orders both online and through vendor reps. You will have primary responsibility for tracking all orders and shipments and communicating the status of each order to our internal team. Excellent organizational skills and quick recall are a must for this position.
- While we expect the entire team to pitch in when it comes to keeping an orderly working environment, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, stocked, and well-organized office.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure;
Positive attitude and ability to get the job done;
Bachelors degree preferred, but not required;
1-3 years of professional experience;
Position requires access to a vehicle;
Familiarity with interior design/construction/architecture a plus, but not required.
Two weeks paid vacation, plus additional time off during the year for holidays (time off begins accruing after 90 days of employment)
