Administrator is responsible for administration and management of nursing facility within authority of established company policies and state and federal regulations: Administers fiscal operations, such as budget planning, accounting for health care services. Directs hiring and training of personnel.
Negotiates and oversees improvement of and additions to buildings and equipment. Directs and coordinates activities of medical, nursing, and administrative staffs and facility services. Develops or enforces policies and procedures for various establishment activities. May represent facility at community meetings, and promote programs through various news media. May develop or expand facility programs involving residents, staff or family members.

Responsible for nursing service in the institution and the caliber of care given to the residents. Responsible for control, utilization and conservation of the physical and financial assets of the facility and for public and community relations.

Organize, direct and coordinate business and nonmedical activities with medical services.

This job operates in a professional office within the Assisted Living Community. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Operate a car for required travel.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:oo a.m. to 5 p.m. CST with some exceptions to that schedule expected.
20% Travel is expected
The Successful Candidate Will
Minimal of 18 years of age
Current state administrators licensure or certification
Meet education criteria required by state to update license. Ongoing education to update license and keep abreast of industry changes.
Possess basic knowledge of current nursing home or assisted living principles, methods and procedures, and knowledge of medical terminology, medicines and narcotic protocol
Current knowledge of administrative procedures with the ability to assist in recruiting, selecting, and the orientation of management personnel as well as to plan and direct work of others.
Comprehensive knowledge of community resources particularly in the health and supportive services.
Ability to represent the facility in its contracts with residents, their families, the medical community and other institutions and agencies.
