  • Payroll for the Jefferson City, Missouri location. You will be managing , coordinating and executing local hourly payroll process. You will performing administrative duties and conduct special assignments to assist managers in administering their operations. Coordinate a variety of activities and conduct investigations, in direct support of senior managers. Recommend measures to achieve operating efficiencies and ensure customer satisfaction.

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Administer and partner with Global Business Services (GBS) Payroll to manage and execute local hourly payroll process. Act as primary interface for employees.

  • Assist employees with customer service issues and train employees on processes such as access and usage of MyHR EMPLOYEE SELF-SERVICE SYSTEM (ESS) and other self-service programs.

  • Work with Operations to identify and coordinate employee training and development as appropriate.

  • Partner with Operations Hiring Managers and HR Center for hourly employee hiring, onboarding & orientation.

  • Coach Managers for effective performance and relationship management.

  • Partner with Operations Managers and Supervisors to effectively address employee relations issues.

  • Assist with coordination of community relations activities.

  • Maintain communications among managers and other staff, and provide information regarding such matters as internal operating policies, regulations, business developments, and focus and objectives of the organization.

  • Conduct special studies and investigations and prepare related reports. Coordinate operations with other departments or outside organizations to achieve effective use of resources, provide timely responses to problems, and cost-effectively meet commitments. Ensure compliance with quality, security and other requirements.

  • Maintain cognizance of new developments in the field, develop cost/benefits analyses, and make associated recommendations in order to achieve cost savings, increase business opportunities and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of experience as Payroll Administrator.


  • Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments are considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business and five (5) years of experience as Payroll Administrator.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage a varied work load.

  • Strong project management skills for short term and long project development & implementation.

  • Excellent Microsoft Office programs skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service to employees.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with employees and external customers.

  • Able to adjust work schedule to accommodate multiple shifts.

Responsible for store accounting which includes posting sales, scans checks for back office conversion, cash accountability (completes deposit and balances system), accounts/expense payable, accounts receivable, and some inventory procedures. Reporting Relations: Accountable and Reports to: Store Director; Assistant Store Director; Managers GM, Perishables, and Store Operations; Lead Store Accounting Coordinator Direct Reports: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store. 2. Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store. 3. Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible. 4.
