This position is responsible for administration of collaborative, operational and financial activities and community partnerships for the College of Nursing's Transformational Practice and Partnerships (TPP) that includes Continuing inter

Professional Development and Innovation (CiPDI), Morehead Center for Nursing Practice (MCNP) and Global Health. Responsible for development, monitoring and evaluating processes and procedures to accomplish strategic objectives; fiscal accountability and business management; development and leadership of programs and workforce; innovation; sustainability; administration of associated grants. Collaborates with Associate Dean for TPP, Assistant Deans, Program Directors and faculty to advance the strategic initiatives of practice, partnerships and collaboration.

Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Management, Finance, Public Health or related field

Strong management, interpersonal and problem solving skills; ability to work in diverse environment; and good working knowledge of management information systems.

General business acumen to include: common sense, good judgment, negotiation skills, financial statement knowledge including accurate interpretation and analysis, and ability to anticipate and forecast needs of the business unit/college.

Familiar with the business of health care including billing/coding, provider credentialing, marketing, forecasting future trends.

Developing understanding of regulatory framework and internal controls (financial and compliance) and ability to apply them within the business unit/college.

Ability to assess risk and problem solve by critically evaluating alternative courses of action and arriving at solutions that are best for both the business unit/college and UNMC as a whole.

Understanding of human resource administration and related regulatory environment.

Developing style of participatory leadership and fosters a climate of respect and collegiality to include competency regarding: conflict management, supervision, mentoring, and team building.

Working knowledge of related technological resources/software to include enterprise systems and the MS Office suite.

Ability to interface effectively with student populations.

General knowledge and awareness of educator and student rights and responsibilities.
