POSITION PROFILE

Lead the daily operation for all UNIX, mainframe and windows servers, and the daily operation of all networks, data communications and peripheral equipment. Set standard operating procedures for servers and networks to assure 100% availability. Maintain batch jobs for complex application systems. Manage the tape backup processes, including job flows, tape mounts, tape storage and tape inventories. Responds to and diagnoses problems through discussions with engineers, vendors and management. Includes problem recognition, research, isolation, and resolution steps using alerts, monitoring systems and the problem management database. Manage the facilities and the environmental systems, including electrical power, security, and HVAC and fire detection/suppression.

  • Lead the operations and monitoring of systems and networks.

  • Maintain batch jobs.

  • Process backup tape procedures.

  • Problem management and reporting.

  • Manage facilities and environmental systems.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

Typically Requires:

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent experience.

  • Requires 2 years of technical support experience along with some Network support experience.

  • Requires experience in basic network protocol configuration in an Ethernet environment.
