As the Administrative Trainer within Corporate Quality, the diverse role will help facilitate trainings, conduct rapid improvement workshops and coach projects. Administrative tasks associated with the training responsibilities will be necessary to ensure the success of the Corporate Quality group.

Responsibilities:

  • Training Functions

  • Co-facilitate trainings

  • Observe and document training notes

  • Benchmark other training

  • Administrative functions

  • Departmental charge backs

  • Vendor management (Purchase Req, Communication with vendors, shipping)

  • Schedule training logistics (reserve rooms, order food, room setup, etc.)

  • Department documentation organization

Required Background:

  • Knowledge of Business Process Improvement tools and methods.

  • Green Belt Certification, (PPG Accelerator trained)

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Up to 25% travel

Desired Background:

  • College Degree

  • Black Belt training, or industry equivalent (PPG Catalyst trained)

  • Project management experience

  • Kaizen (or RIW) experience

  • Experience delivering/facilitating training

  • Working experience with Minitab or JMP

JOB SUMMARY The Director, Quality Food &Nutrition (F&N) reports to the Corporate Quality Director and manages the F&N Quality Teams. The Director, Quality F&N is responsible to oversee and ensure the development, implementation and training of effective quality systems in F&N. This role will interact with customers on complex quality questions and have final authority for data coming out of the labs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Responsible for implementation, development and training of overall quality systems in our Food & Nutrition line of business * Overall responsibility for Proficiency Testing for the company (standardization, etc) * Develop and lead a team of functional quality Managers and Specialists for F&N to ensure: * Review, updating, implementation and conformance to quality manuals * All new employee laboratory quality training is completed * Review, updating, creation, implementation and standardization of all associated SOP's * Conduct and/or oversee QA training courses. As directed by the Laboratory Director, may conduct ethics training minimally every quarter in which new employees are hired * Conduct and respond to external audits conducted by clients and regulatory agencies * Oversee generation of control charts and control limits, update of reference tables * Perform or arrange for calibration of laboratory support equipment * Maintain training records, including Demonstrations of Capability (DOCs) for all analysts * May be the customer face for all associated quality questions/concerns in F&N * Monthly reporting of F&N acceptance level of quality metrics * If there is a question of acceptance in data coming out of a F&N lab, has the authority to stop data. * Accessible to all employee to moderate any ethical / data quality issues * May act as the QA representative in client meetings, regulatory meetings, open forums for discussing regulation changes, etc. * Act as a technical resource and final authority in all matters of data quality * Evaluate the thoroughness and effectiveness of the laboratory's training program * Perform systems, internal or special audits as deemed necessary by data audits, client inquiries, etc. * Work with management in performing annual Management Review of the Quality System * Assist in reviewing and/or writing of Quality Assurance Project Plans, and technical and QC specifications in contracts and proposals. * Monitor new regulations, communicate them to the laboratory, and ensure compliance with the current version of regulations * Maintain historical technical records * Monitor laboratory's compliance with the reference methods, SOPs, and agency-specific requirements * Assist in identification of systematic problems within the laboratory. Perform root cause analysis investigations in response to audit findings, client complaints, training needs assessments, data recall events, etc. * Track revised reports, and assist in identifying systematic improvements to minimize errors * Track customer complaints and assists in identifying improvements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's degree in related field from a four-year college or university; and Minimum 8 years of relevant industry and laboratory operations experience including Quality and Leadership experience * Sound knowledge of principles, terminology, practices, techniques and instrumentation commonly used in a food and nutrition laboratory setting * In depth understanding of Quality principles, ISO 17025 experience preferred * Collaborative work approach aligned with Microbac's corporate values WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands and working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
