Job Description:
Administrative Technician
The State of Nebraska, Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an Administrative Technician for the Division of Children and Family Services. This position supports the Protection and Safety Administrative team and provides general administrative support to the Protection and Safety Administrator for the Division of Children and Family Services.
We are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented, can work under limited supervision and enjoys working in a team-oriented environment. If you have prior administrative/clerical experience, join our team as an Administrative Technician.

Job Summary:
This position will direct a unit of Office Technicians that support the work of many different teams within the Lincoln office and the Southeast Service Area.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide support to Administrators.
Supervise and manage a team of Office Technicians.
Onboarding new hires.
Prepare and send data reports; manage SESA billing and office supplies.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, including setup and minute-taking.
Order Social Security Cards & Birth Certificates.
Assist with various administrative tasks (notarizing, scanning, faxing).
Track legal actions and manage related paperwork, including adoption
subsidy packets.
Management tasks for all divisions located at Lincoln South.
Act as Security Administrator
Assist with purchase cards, redacting files and Relinquishment
paperwork.
Wage: $17.498
Hours: Monday

Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
Preferred Qualifications: Administrative experience, Leadership or Supervisory experience, Knowledge of NFOCUS desirable, Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excel/Word/PowerPoint, Strong communication skills, Familiar with reviewing court orders, Team Collaboration, Continuous Improvement, Some client transportation required, Ability to become a certified Notary.
Other: Must have a valid Driver's License
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of: administrative and office processes and procedures and associated computer applications such as word processing, file management, record keeping, and database management; customer service processes and principles; specialized processes and terminology associated with assigned work.
Skill in: active listening; asking questions; understanding instructions; using word processing; creating spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and reports; managing time, schedules, and priorities; monitoring and assessing program performance; applying critical thinking techniques.
Ability to: formulate and recommend alternative courses of action; communicate and exchange information and ideas with others; interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations; track and monitor information; retrieve information from a variety of sources; maintain confidential records.
