About this Position
The Administrative Technician-HR position provides general clerical services and related duties to the Human Resources Department. Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, they will provide specialized operational and administrative support, including answering phones, greeting visitors, conducting applicant testing, completing background checks, and entering data, among other tasks.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the HR team
Process seasonal applications
Issue ID badges, send reminders for Driver's License renewals, and monitor ACA hours
Serve as the point of contact for HR work orders
Compile, verify accuracy, and sort information to prepare and enter data into applicable software
Prepare status changes for entry into payroll system
Coordinate and monitor performance reviews through the HR system
Schedule sessions and enter data from random drug tests and TB or PFT tests
Monitor and order department supplies
Generate purchase orders and reconcile/process credit card statements
Purchase, issue, and track gift cards for the employee recognition program, wellness program, and other events
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
18-24 months of related experience and/or training with administrative functions
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Human Resources experience (preferred)
Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
Necessary Skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong customer service/interpersonal communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel locally or overnight on occasion
Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings
