Provide administrative support in such areas as Manpower, Budget, Security and other support areas to facilitate local HR administrative processes.
Assist Site Director and managers with processing employee relations actions, resolving classification issues, developing position descriptions, and coordinating staffing plans.
Monitor the status of all personnel actions (recruits, reassignments, promotions) and educate selecting officials on their responsibilities in the selection process.
Conducts a variety of cross-functional studies addressing funding, workload analysis, organizational design and staffing issues, as related to HR requirements.
Occasional travel - The travel requirement for this position is 15% or less.

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as: applying knowledge of administrative management practices, procedures, policies and regulations related to personnel management and at least one other project management area sufficient to provide advice and guidance to senior management regarding personnel management activities.
Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: interpreting and applying personnel policies, regulations, and procedures; developing position descriptions; coordinating the recruitment and placement of new employees, assisting managers with selecting new employees; conducting studies and preparing reports regarding trends in HR administration; conducting manpower analysis as related to HR requirements; overseeing project/program management work; and providing conflict resolution services for employees.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.
Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
