Serve as the Administrative Support Specialist with responsibility for planning, coordinating and performing a variety of administrative functions in support of the department.
Plan, develop, and coordinate administrative and management functions and operations.
Prepare letters, memorandums, and reports.
Utilize electronic mail and electronic calendar systems, as well as various software packages to prepare reports and briefings.
Responsible for managing the operational schedule and directs the administrative operations of the Executive Service office.
Establishe and maintain database records of forecasted project milestones, and other data elements relative to meeting objectives and use of resources.
Provide administrative accountability and input time and attendance information.
Establish, review and update complex administrative office procedures and guidelines.
Provide assistance to management with regard to such matters as recruitment, reassignments, grievances, morale, turnover, absenteeism, disciplinary actions and standards of performance.
Coordinate and act as organizational liaison on Human Resources initiatives or requirements.
Assist with and monitors updating position descritptions, employee evaluations, employee of the month program, and monthly contract assessments.

This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
This position requires the incumbent to have tuberculosis testing.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating administrative support functions such as meetings/briefings, office calendars, or training events; assisting in preparing presentations and briefing materials; tracking and monitoring civilian personnel actions; and maintaining personnel data in automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Human Resources or Health Administration.
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
