Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
The Department of Specialized Education (SES) is an academic department with undergraduate programs in special education teacher education, the dual major in elementary education and special education teacher education program, interpreting and advocacy, deaf education in teacher education, and birth-kindergarten teacher education; graduates programs at the master's level in special education and birth-kindergarten; and the doctoral program in special education.
Position Summary
The person in this position oversees administrative activities in the department, including developing processes and procedures, initiating and authorizing human resources activities, budgeting (including processing all payments and travel reimbursements), class scheduling, records management, scholarship administration, customer service, and other office activities.
Minimum Qualifications
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENCY AND ONE YEAR OF RELATED OFFICE EXPERIENCE; OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE.

Responsible for all EPAF/PAF actions for faculty and staff.
Responsible for creating, transitioning, and maintaining compliance for all departmental searches (Jobsearch and Handshake).
Budgets, searches, hires, and processes Graduate Assistantships, including stipends and scholarships for the SOE and department.
Manages personnel records and P&T documentation for faculty; coordinates with HR, Provost office, and facilities management.
