Our Early Intervention program is currently seeking an Administrative Support Coordinator to provide receptionist, referral, and data entry support.
As the Administrative Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
Protecting the rights and dignities of individuals with developmental disabilities and extending these rights and dignities to family members or guardians
Collecting referral information through various channels such as voicemail, phone conversations, or email
Assisting in the coordination of family transitions from external Early Intervention agencies or other EI stakeholders which may include in state and out of state families
Abiding by the Rhode Island Early Intervention Competencies
Conducting thorough research utilizing the Statewide electronic medical record platform to ensure children are not enrolled elsewhere, ensuring accuracy in case assignments
Performing receptionist duties, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and communicating with appropriate staff members
Collaborating with the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) to obtain necessary documentation for cases
Supporting the EI Director in assigning cases to service coordinators and communicating reasons for referral
Assisting with caseload management by reviewing staff caseloads in order to assign new cases
Collaborating with Data Entry Specialist to ensure the accuracy of information for proper billing and reimbursement
Initiating the appropriate correspondence, such as 10-day letters and/or Thank You letters to referral source if families are unreachable
Performing other duties as directed by the supervisor related to the organizations mission, goals, and operations
Education/Requirements:
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent required
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
Associate or bachelors degree in a related field of study preferred
At least two years of experience working with children in an early childhood, educational, or early intervention setting preferred
Must have a valid drivers license, current auto insurance, and safe driving record
Access to a personal vehicle to be used as directed
