NATUS, in Middleton, Wisconsin, is seeking 1 Temporary Administrative Support person. Founded in 1989, Natus Medical Incorporated is a leading manufacturer of medical devices and software and a service provider for the Newborn Care, Neurology, Sleep, Hearing and Balance markets. Natus products are used in hospitals, clinics, and laboratories worldwide. Our mission is to improve outcomes and patient care in target markets through innovative screening, diagnostic and treatment solutions.

This is a short-term (up to 18 weeks) assignment in our Middleton, Wisconsin office to assist in the creation of documentation in MicroSoft Word based on input from subject matter experts and/or content from other documents. Also, it may involve migrating content into a web site software (Drupal) as well as some data base work in Excel.

Requires attention to details and expertise in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and typing.

Location is Middleton, Wisconsin.


SUMMARY: Works on the execution of projects that support the marketing function. Works individually or with a team in planning and executing projects to completion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Quality System

Stay up-to-date and follow all Quality System procedures related to this job, which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers.

  • Document Support

Responsible for ensuring the integrity of documents used throughout marketing including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Document updates

  • Moving content from one document format to an updated format

  • Involves copying and pasting using electronic files

  • Involves typing content into an updated format from a hard copy

  • Document approval

  • Document distribution

  • Document storage

  • Style Guide updates and adherence
    3.Marketing Communications Support

  • Assist in processing incoming leads and inquiries that are received via the Natus website/tradeshows

  • Help with logistics and shipping of products for marketing

  • Help maintain Partners' and Intranet websites with most up to date Marketing materials

  • Provide assistance for marketing events: sales and clinical training, customer events, tradeshows, market research, distributor and sales meetings

  • Help create/review/copy marketing content for brochures, catalogs, web, social media, email blasts

  • Assist in planning and implementation of digital and non-digital marketing campaigns.

  • Market Research

  • Conduct research to understand how clinical trial projects are proposed and how products and services are selected.

  • Gather contact information of key players in selecting products and services for clinical trials located at pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations.

  • Develop a list and contact information for training centers that teach physical therapists and chiropractors to perform EMG/NCS testing.

  • Develop a list and contact information for academic medical centers performing basic or animal research.

  • Develop a list and contact information for private practice physicians and hospitals performing EMG testing.

  • Conduct research to analyze customers' behavior (e.g. purchasing habits, trends and preferences)

  • Identify and analyze competitors

  • Operational Activities

Ensure proper processes are used to accomplish MSO activities including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Creating part numbers for marketing items

  • Obtaining approval for marketing documents

  • Implementing price list changes

  • Maintaining/updating marketing resource library

  • Maintaining/updating Natus Neural Network site

  • Distribution of marketing deliverables

  • Processing and reconciling marketing invoices

  • Provides Communication in an ongoing and timely manner

  • Requires very strong written and oral communication skills

  • Constant communication with supervisor providing updates and status of projects

  • Meets deadlines and timeframes at all times

  • Answers all inquiries within 24 hours

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate or Bachelor degree or work related experience in Marketing, Communications or Business.

  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel

  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Exceptional verbal and written skills. Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to interact with all departments

  • Preference for working in a team oriented environment

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and marketing copy.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, margin, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
