This is a part-time, one-year limited term position based in Boligee, AL. Continuation of employment is contingent upon funding availability. This position may require holiday and weekend availability.
The Administrative Support Associate will be responsible for providing impactful support to Alabama Cooperative Extension System's Rural Health Initiative in the Greene County area. Responsibilities include coordinating healthcare events, managing volunteer groups, overseeing ambassador programs, and organizing activities. The associate will also handle purchasing and financial documentation and serve as the primary public contact for healthcare access inquiries.

Essential Functions
Serves as administrator in planning and coordinating logistics in Greene County.
Advises others on processes, procedures, and services and resolves policy-related or procedural problems.
Reviews and verifies documentation for completeness and compliance with policies and procedures.
Assists in the development and maintenance of information required for reporting purposes.
Manages and assists with outreach health and wellness programming and evaluates program success.
Collects information from clientele to define needs or problem areas.
Assists in the development of marketing plans and publicity materials for distribution to the target audience.
Provides professionalism through communications and interactions facilitated between administrators, faculty, staff, patients, and students concerning programs and services
Demonstrates sensitivity in confidential matters.
Performs a variety of clerical duties, which may include (but are not limited to) typing correspondence, filing folders, recordkeeping, data entry, preparation and processing of forms, calendars and scheduling, mail distribution and outgoing mailings, travel and expense vouchers, telephones and greeting, supplies and inventory, limited supervision of clerical or student work, and other support duties of similar difficulty.
Available to work 25 hours a week; holidays and weekends may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Level I: High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of experience in administrative support services.
Level II: High school diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of experience in administrative support services.
Substitutions allowed for Experience:
Degrees accepted in lieu of experience, at a rate of one year relevant education per year of required experience.

Knowledge of medical terminology.
Crisis response and management skills.
Advanced knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to participate and help where needed.
Proven interpersonal skills with experience providing complex administrative support in a high-profile environment with tact and diplomacy.
Excellent leadership skills including the ability to lead and provide direction.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently within a complex department to accomplish assigned goals in a timely manner and ability to work with detailed information with attention to accuracy.
