The Administrative Support Assistant provides administrative support services to various departments within SCC allowing the individual the opportunity to learn and advance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attends Business Unit meetings, documents meeting minutes, and maintains vacation calendars for various departments.
Assists in training entry-level office support assistants for later advancement.
Trains in various departments within SCC as needed for back up purposes.
Completes time off requests, payroll reports, and time clock edits for various departments.
Processes company mail.
Processes business card requests.
Collects funds from vending machines.
Assists with conference calls when requested.
Prepares supplies for new employees.
Collects supplies for departing employees.
Maintains department supply cabinet.
Stock kitchens when requested.
Provides administrative support to the Office Support department and any outside departments as requested.
Provides back-up coverage for the Receptionist.
Assists with lunch distribution.
Complies with all approved procedures, directives and guidelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
An Associate's Degree is required, but a BA/BS degree is preferred.
A minimum of one year experience working within a business environment is required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 2010 Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
The ability to handle multiple tasks as well as to define priorities and respond accordingly
The ability to work in a fast paced environment
Basic to intermediate Word and Excel knowledge required
Must possess good attention to detail
