About the Position: This position is located with the Deputy Commander for Clinical Services,Clinical Support Division, located in Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville. Both visitors & residents enjoy the shops & eateries of downtown Hopkinsville & Clarksville. The cost of living is lower than the average for all major U.S. cities.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in travel arrangements for business travel; utilizing electronic mail and electronic calendars to transmit messages and schedule appointments; and operating an automated system to prepare reports, presentations, and/or spreadsheets. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).


Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position.


Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-5).

Manages the overall utilization of the exercise facilities of the Battle Command Training Center and prepare facilities for exercises, set up furniture, ensure that support equipment is installed in required locations, make minor repairs or coordinate for non-self-help or major type repairs, assist and manage post-exercise recovery of all facilities. Plans, directs, and reviews the day-to-day and tactical activities of individual contributors responsible for the development and delivery of area and site security programs. Builds and manages relationships with vendors providing area or site security services; makes recommendations for area or site contracts for service. Executes and monitors the effectiveness of existing security policies and practices to ensure compliance with established regional and functional direction. Develops site physical security standard operating procedures. Performs all contractor security briefings and monitors personnel access to all secure areas. Manages security clearance status and manages access to facility. Writes security annex for all classified training events.
