The primary purpose of this position as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) enlisted position, incumbent manages the administrative and personnel program processes of the organization and serves as liaison with the manpower/ personnel offices; additionally, trains reservist in all tasks of the position.

Provides unit personnel support services.
Manages, prepares and maintains documentation concerning the administrative orders program.

Preferred Military AFSC and Grade: 3F071 MSgt/E-7 (Youngstown); 3F051 SSgt/E-5 (Charleston).
Position may or will require incumbent to Fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments
Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
Position may require a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and/or a security clearance
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of common clerical practices and office routines.
Knowledge of basic rules of grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation, and of standard abbreviations.
Knowledge of format and clerical procedures to arrange a variety of material from different sources.
Skill in integrating a variety of types of software to generate products for a single purpose.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
