The Facilities, Safety and Security Division (FSS) of Denver Human Services is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the Administrative Support Assistant (ASA IV) for the Safety and Emergency Management Team. The Administrative Support Assistant will provide administrative support to the Safety and Emergency Management Team of the Facilities, Safety, and Security Division.
Generally, the Administrative Support Assistant IV (ASA IV) will:
Provide professional and respectful customer service when working with internal and external customers
Gain general knowledge to provide responses to customer questions
Review and evaluate safety forms, executive order safety standard documents and other safety and emergency related documents
Prepare, process, and preserve documents and other forms in accordance with safety and emergency management procedures
Function as the administrative support assistant to the Safety and Emergency Management team of the Facilities, Safety & Security Division
Manage staff calendars for training and operations, set up training sessions for the Department Operations Center and other Safety related training
Assist in maintaining Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and assist with the inventory
Respond to sensitive inquiries and problems related to the specialized/technical area and resolve problems by making correct and reliable decisions
Provide administrative support assistance to the operations of the Department Operation Center
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
Previous Administrative Support assistance with large shops/ organizations
Customer Service - Field/return calls, meet with clients as a back-up to staff
Time management skills
Technologically savvy/experienced with Microsoft Office Software, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, Workday, and Adobe Acrobat
The flexibility to work 5 days in office and flexibility for working weekends due to emergencies, etc.

Emergency Duties: Facilities, Safety, & Security is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, this position can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
