The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package. Job Description
To provide administrative and operational support to the School of Health Professions Department of Nursing. Coordinate information flow between students, faculty, administrators, internal college departments and outside agencies. This position exists to develop, manage, maintain, and support the administrative, operational, regulatory, and assessment activities and processes associated with the Department of Nursing.
Required Qualifications
Three years of job-related experience.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Cultural competence in effectively working with a diverse population.
Understanding of and willingness to embrace the Benedictine values.
Ability to simultaneously manage and coordinate a large number of varying tasks.
Computer skills required: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and email.
Basic office skills required: keyboarding, filing, and answering telephones.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
At least five years of successful office or administrative support experience
Proficiency with electronic record keeping and office organizational tools (software)
Provide administrative and operational support for the Department Nursing by developing, organizing, and managing program data and processes
Organize and maintain data to meet requirements for accreditation and licensure requirements
Support department administrators which includes managing calendars, developing reports, correspondence and other communication as needed
Conduct surveys, collect and review program data, student feedback, and evaluations
Maintain student handbooks, forms, information handouts, department and committee minutes, and other department documents
Coordinate the Course Review process for department
Coordinate meetings and events as needed
Provide student support services for the department
Develop and maintain student communication processes and tools, including online student resource centers
Coordinate the admission to the program which includes communication with students, record maintenance and collaboration with other College departments.
Track student progression within the program
Organize and maintain clinical education requirements including clinical agreements, student clinical compliance, background studies and insurance verification
Assist graduating students with requirements related to graduation, commencement, and licensing
Coordinate program orientations and other student events
Operational budget support
Support department chair with operational budget tracking and queries
Coordinate procurement of program supplies following College procurement procedures
Process claims for services rendered for guest lecturers, student reimbursements, and deposits
Provide customer service to internal and external constituents, working respectfully and collaboratively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experiences
Collaborate with administrative staff group around shared processes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate the onboarding of adjunct contract hires
Support the onboarding processes for new faculty
Provide customer service via in-person, telephone, audio/video conferencing, and email
Other duties as assigned
