Summary of Job Duties:
The primary role of the Welcome Center Administrative Assistant is to provide a welcoming and helpful experience for prospective and current students, along with visitors and community members.
This position reports to the Admissions Coordinator South Campus and is responsible for answering the main University of Arkansas
General Responsibilities:
Provides exceptional welcoming customer service to potential and current students, parents, and other UA-PTC stakeholders.
Provide essential information and problem resolution
Ensure accurate and effective representation of the College and follow-through with prospective students, enrolled students, business community and high school officials.
Perform other duties as directed, requested or assigned.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain records and files with precision and accuracy.
Knowledge of computers and software applications.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision.
High level of professionalism.
Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma plus two years of experience in an office environment. Experience in higher education is preferred but not required.
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all of part of these basic requirements.
