About Midlands Regional Center
Midlands Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Columbia, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Under direct supervision of the Residential Director must be able to work independently
within function of daily duties using discretion in organizing and maintaining office
functions. Must have good communication skills in working with all levels of management
staff, family members and outside agencies.
Organizes and maintains office functions for Day and Residential Supports.
Prints and distributes time sheets and completes daily attendance report.
Prepares required documentation for Residential Supports.
Supports the Facility Administrator's office with administrative duties as needed in the absence of the Administrative Assistant.
Completes other related job duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Preferred Qualifications
Agency Additional Requirements: A High School Diploma and (1) one year of clerical experience; or an Associate Degree in secretarial science or related field or two years in clerical experience with knowledge of the process for using South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS).

State Disaster Plan: In accordance with the State's Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, DDSN employees may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.
