This Administrative Specialist II position is located within the Business Office of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI). The primary purpose of this position is to collect, review, and process payments, invoices, and receipts generated from the Criminal Identification and Information Section of the SBI. In addition to these functions this position will process, reconcile, and be the point of contact for the agency Purchasing Cards, also known as P-Cards. This position will serve as the agency P-Card administrator and will receive monthly statements and receipts from agency cardholders and reconcile the records and process the invoices for payment. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with Benefits.

To qualify for this position, applicants MUST document on the application that they possess ALL the following:
Demonstrated experience reviewing routine business documents for accuracy, such as invoices, receipts and purchasing card documents.
Demonstrated skill in using Microsoft Word and Excel in a business setting.
Demonstrated experience completing and/or maintaining records and reports.
Experience interpreting and/or explaining policies, procedures, and laws.
Selected candidates will undergo and must successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation which includes: pre-employment polygraph examination; credit and arrest checks; interviews with associates, personal and business references; verification interviews of employers; verification of education achievement; urinalysis drug screening; and submission of fingerprints.Some state job postings say you can qualify by an "equivalent combination of education and experience."
