JOB SUMMARY:

Serves as the primary contact for the students in the department's undergraduate and graduate programs. Works closely with the program coordinators to effectively manage, develop, and grow the programs. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Essential

  • Administrative support for students:

Assists in processing and monitoring the travel and purchasing requests for undergraduate and graduate researchers. Assists in the review process of applicants for our graduate programs, and with onboarding new students. Coordinates our graduate student test proctoring pool, and assists with managing the human participants research website.

  • Event planning:

Assists program coordinators in the planning and coordination of various outreach and networking events for our undergraduate and graduate programs.

  • Program communication and outreach activities:

Reviews and edits various program documents, handbooks, social media and website material. Responds to inquiries about the various programs.

  • Miscellaneous:

Collaborates with other administrative staff on projects such form processing, room assignments, class scheduling.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree, Psychology preferred

  • Not responsible for supervising employees.

No Budget Responsibilities

  • No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

80% - Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period

20% - Walk or move about

100% - Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself

WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hrs: 37.5, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Band: 03 ($ 26,385.00 - $ 48,826.00)

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
