Examples of Duties


Evaluates policies, procedures, programs and services and recommends modifications

Coordinates the preparation and adoption of regulations, policies and procedures

Monitors the department budget, and contacts vendors for services

Prepares and disseminates newsletters, project and program brochures and media, and participates in developing program policies and procedures

Analyzes statistical data, prepares narrative reports and correspondence, and recommends a plan of action for improving services

Researches materials, collects data, and maintains database records to track projects and generate reports

Communicates with other agencies and coordinates projects, office functions and departmental activities

Attends meetings to conduct presentations and to organize programs, projects and activities with other agencies or departments to provide information and publicize available services

Coordinates the scheduling of facilities and logistical issues for meetings, projects and events

Provides technical assistance and instruction concerning department activities, projects and programs, and to explain procedures and operations

Meets regular and punctual attendance standards and any special needs of the position as determined by management, including mandatory overtime and performing related work

Minimum Requirements

Associate's degree

Business Administration



Physical Science

Public Administration

Social Science

Related field

Two years of office administration, complaint resolution, public relations, or customer service experience

Job Summary: The Administrative Manager, Senior Associate participates in the implementation of Administrative Services strategic plans, as well as maintains performance measurements for a customer base of 100-250 employees. The Administrative Services function is responsible for providing the most efficient and economical administrative support to the firm's Client Serving and Core Business Services service lines. This position monitors financial and operational performance in accordance with established administrative services parameters. The Administrative manager must understand the structure and business of the organization and clients they support to effectively manage resources and processes. This position will lead and develop individuals and teams by using people management processes and tools that involve staffing, training, supervising, coaching, and performance management to achieve optimal performance. Key Responsibilities: * Manages workflow and negotiates assignments for executive assistants based on client need and resources * Solicits ongoing feedback from customers to evaluate and coach executive assistants on their performance * Sets up full project plans including objectives, milestones, priorities, team, calendar and nature of deliverables * Demonstrates proactive business development by initiating discussions with existing clients on possible additional work and satisfaction with current support * Coordinates and assists with budget planning and is responsible for operating within approved budget * Must meet or exceed the needs of our internal clients by partnering with other groups within the matrix organization, cultivating those relationships, aligning people and processes, and identifying workplace efficiencies to add value. * Exercises influence at many levels of the organization * Comfortable with change and managing people's reaction to it * Excellent communications skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential * Project management experience * Manages and counsels teams up to 20-25 employees; may manage people virtually * Helps team and colleagues understand the bigger picture of technical, ethical and financial needs * Limited supervision necessary * Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work with all levels within the firm and build solid relationships with multiple internal groups * Must be experienced with all Microsoft Office Tools To qualify, candidates must have: * Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required * Approximately 4-6 years of experience * 2+ years of experience managing people Ernst & Young LLP, an equal employment opportunity employer (Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Disabled), values the diversity of our workforce and the knowledge of our people.
