This position performs a variety of administrative services in such areas as: procurement, property, human resources, budget, travel, resource support services, and miscellaneous office services.
The positions are located in the Intermountain Region for the Bridger-Teton National Forest. One position is in Kemmerer, WY the other position is in Moran, WY.

Maintain appropriate accountable records for property.
Serve as the main point of contact for purchasing on the unit.
Reconcile purchases within the appropriate database in a timely manner.
Process requisitions making sure that funds availability and work plans are correct.
Supports and assists with a full range of purchasing and procurement needs.
Maintain accountable property inventory and inventory records of the organizations accountable property.
Receive data from multiple sources in multiple forms, including email, reviews the data, and processes it to meet a variety of administrative needs.
Receive and distribute supplies and special order items.
Handle calls and visitors of a routine nature and refer others to appropriate personnel.
Inform employees of Human Resource policies and regulatory changes in areas of leave/lump sum procedures, promotions, OWCP, etc.
Assist with the preparation of the annual operating budget for the unit.
Perform financial reviews throughout a project to ensure that allocations are not being exceeded.

This is a bargaining unit position represented by the National Federation of Federal Employees, IAMAW.

Specialized Experience Requirement:
GS-05-Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-4 grade level;
OR a bachelor's degree or 4 years of successfully completed education above high school;
OR combinations of successfully completed post-high school education (in excess of the first 60 semester hours) and specialized experience.
Examples of specialized experience are: greeting visitors and responding to phone and written inquiries personally or referring to other staff as appropriate; maintaining written records and files in electronic and/or hardcopy filing systems; and using word processing software and printing equipment to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve, and print standardized documents ensuring correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format.
The education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
GS-06-Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level;
OR one full year (18 semester hours) of successfully completed graduate level education if the coursework is directly related to the work of the position (for example
OR combinations of graduate level education that is directly related to the position and specialized experience.
Examples of specialized experience are: Providing support and assistance processing a wide variety of requisitions; reconciling purchases and maintaining files in accordance with Federal regulations and agency directives; processing incoming and outgoing mail; establishing and maintaining the unit's files, accountable property inventories, records, etc. (hardcopy and/or electronic format); and using automated software to produces reports, correspondence and other written documents in draft form.
The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
