The primary purpose of the position is to complete assigned Medical Staff Services Department duties to support the operation of the department.
Pay range: $15.00-$23.25/hour
Notifies departments of new and department members of the Medical Staff and AHP's.
Submits changes in practitioner directories.
Responsible for maintenance of expirable credentials of Medical Staff members and AHP's, in the credentialing software program, and in the practitioner's credentials file.
Maintains current privileges in Image Silo program.
Assists with preparation and distribution of EMTALA call schedules.
Maintains five (5) years of EMTALA call schedules.
Provides affiliation verifications.
Processes correspondence, and maintains record of correspondence, regarding delinquent medical records.
Creates packets for medical staff committee meetings.
Types and distributes correspondence for IMMC/ILH Department/Committee support.
Types updates in the Medical Staff Bylaws, manuals and policies.
Types medical staff surveys and ballots and complies results.
Mails and collects medical staff annual dues.
Schedule medical staff meetings as assigned.
Assists departments and sections with their meeting notices and agendas on an as-needed basis.
Processes requests for medical staff mailing envelopes/labels.
Monitors the supply of provisions in the physicians' lounge and reports problems to appropriate departments.
Distribution of mail for the department.
Answers the telephone for the office.
Orders office supplies.
Supports the Credentialing Specialists and the Manager with creation of file folders and file documents.
Courteously greet and assist member of the public, the medical staff and other hospital personnel.
High school dipoma/equivalent required. Medical terminology preferred. Previous health care experience preferred.
