The Role

Headlands Research Detroit is looking for a Administrative Research Assistant to assist coordinators in clinical research protocols. This individual will work directly with the coordinators, investigators, and other research staff to ensure protocol visits are being completed in accordance with protocol guidelines.

Responsibilities

• To assist research coordinators in conducting clinical trials. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collect clinical data (potentially including vital signs)

• Complete data entry from study visits & other office tasks into electronic medical records system

• Telephone calls: answering incoming calls into the clinic & making outbound calls to schedule appointments, complete patient follow-ups, etc.

• Screening and enrolling study subjects based on inclusion/exclusion criteria

• Verifying study documents

Qualifications

• Clinical research experience preferred

• Knowledge in medical terminology and laboratory skills preferred

• Knowledge with Microsoft office required

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills-interact effectively with professional, administrative staff, sponsor and regulatory representatives, patients, potential subjects, and referral sources

• Accuracy, attention to detail and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
