The University of Texas at Dallas has an excellent job opportunity for individuals looking to join our team as an Administrative Project Coordinator in the Jindal School of Management (JSOM).

The Coordinator for the Jindal Young Scholars Program will organize and implement administrative activities into the day-to-day operation of the Jindal Young Scholars Program.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and three years of administrative experience, experience related to the project area or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit high school students to join the Jindal Young Scholars Program

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate events (i.e. "Guest Speaker Series" and college nights) at JYSP partner high school campuses

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate JYSP junior campus visits to UTD in the spring and senior campus visits to UTD in the fall

  • Coordinate the JYSP mentor program

  • Coordinate with DISD JYSP liaison regarding SAT/ACT/TSIA2 Preparation courses for high school students

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate JYSP events on the UTD campus (i.e. "Signing Day," "Friends and Family Welcome Event," and "Scholarship Breakfast")

  • Maintain consistent communication with JYSP Scholarship Recipients (individual and group meetings) to provide support and address needs

  • Coordinate with the Office of External Affairs regarding the marketing of the Jindal Young Scholars Program including maintaining a social media presence

  • Coordinate with the Office of Development regarding fundraising opportunities for the Jindal Young Scholars Program

  • Stay connected to other university departments such as Undergraduate Success Scholars Program, Financial Aid, Housing, Living Learning Communities, Underrepresented Minority Recruitment, and Program Directors

  • Creation and production of helpful resources for JYSP high school students and their parents (i.e. newsletters, videos, deadlines, scholarship opportunities)

  • Selection of JYSP Scholarship Recipients

  • Maintain and update JYSP's website

  • Maintain and update JYSP's budget

  • Other duties as assigned

Remote Work Notice

A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly). Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
