What You'll Do as an Administrative Professional 2:
Ohio Department of Public Safety - Bureau of Motor Vehicles/International Registration Plan
Report in location: 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43223
This position may work in the office 2-days and telework 3-days. Subject to Change.
Under the general supervision of the Chief of the International Registration Plan Section, within the Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), relieve superior of routine administrative duties, make recommendations regarding program activities & assist in developing new procedures related to established program policy:
Review & note IRP returned payments & suspend &/or unsuspend IRP accounts when returned payments are resolved;
Review Heavy Vehicle Use Tax (HVUT) queue for accuracy & completeness; Approve or disapprove entries & send appropriate messages to IRP account holders regarding HVUT 2290 requirements;
Compose & type responses to inquiries regarding IRP registration issuance; Maintain files on confidential memorandums & report to the Chief; Proofread & sign correspondence;
Compile & prepare weekly & quarterly statistical reports reflecting the activity of the International Registration Plan Section;
Assist with the dissemination of decisions & directives regarding changes in policies &/or procedures;
Research & respond to inquiries & complaints;
Screen & direct incoming correspondence to appropriate section for response; Open, scan, & disseminate IRP section mail;
Maintain supervisor's appointment schedule & arrange meetings;
Manage business functions of administrator's office to include preparing & monitoring budgets, & handle disposition of invoices for payment, & maintain personnel records;
Prepare & maintain logs on requisitions for all equipment & supplies or consult with Office of Commercial Trucking & Driver Testing (OCTDT) AP3 regarding needs of IRP Section;
Respond to callbacks received from State & Federal Government;
Prepare copies & fax documents as needed;
Work on special assignments & projects;
Prepare memos & presentations for dissemination within the work unit;
Act as backup Administrative Professional to other sections within Office of Commercial Trucking & Driver Testing;
Perform other related duties as assigned.
