Main Office/Elementary Office Manager Job Description
Reports to the Elementary Principal
Job Summary:
The Main Office/Elementary Office Manager will assist the Elementary Principal, the Business Office, the Admissions office, and Head of School with the daily tasks that arise in the running of Valley Christian School. The Main Office/Elementary Office Manager is a highly motivated individual, who can work independently and keep the office organized and running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Assist Elementary Principal with projects and assigned duties.
Assist the Business Office with projects.
Assist the Admissions Office with projects.
Assist the Head of School as needed.
Maintain North Office Security, keeping doors locked, checking in visitors.
Answer phones and emails.
Check attendance. Check students in and out.
Assess and treat minor injuries.
Liaison between parents, faculty, staff, and administration.
Update Renweb with student, family, and staff information.
Email school communication to families and staff.
Order supplies for all classrooms and bulk orders for copy rooms.
Assist Elementary/JH/HS Principals with curriculum orders.
Assist the Business Office with Admissions Applications and payments.
Keep master list of Volunteers/Substitutes/Bus Driver.
Work with Maintenance and Athletic Director on bus schedules.
Be available to parents, teachers, other administrators, and the Head of School.
Update school calendars: paper, and website.
Schedule Parent Teacher Conferences twice a year.
Contribute to the general improvement of VCS.

Use grammatically correct English in all written and oral communication, including electronic communication. Speak with clear articulation.
Represent the school in a favorable and professional manner to its constituency and the public.
Requirements
Must agree, sign, and abide by the Ministry of Teaching Document
Excellent organization, communication, and leadership skills
Required:
High school Degree
At least 3 years secretarial or related experience.
Highly preferred:
A bachelor’s degree in Administration.
Medical Background
Experience working in an Elementary School.
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Online Mail (Outlook, Gmail, etc.), and skilled at the Internet
Ability to work required schedule with, few infrequent exceptions.
Valid First Aid/CPR card
Professional appearance and demeanor to publicly represent VCS.
Ability to multi-task with distractions.
Physical Demands:
Be able to sit for long stretches of time.
Be able to speak and interact with students in a coherent manner.
Be able to look at a computer for periods of time.
Must be able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds, although 50 pounds is preferable.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the policy on evaluation of administrative personnel.
Job performances will be completed at a minimum of twice per year.
