Join a team of hard working individuals at the Department of Human Services, Office of Administration, Facilities Management. We are looking for self starters who are excited to assist in our facilities unit.

Incumbent directs and coordinates facility and equipment maintenance, space allocation/planning, equipment/furniture moves, records retention and sustainability accounts for all DHS offices/locations. Ensures all DHS employees are supplied with proper equipment, furniture, supplies, phones and facility related needs.

Designs and maintains building floor plans in Microsoft VISIO software program for each DHS location.

Authorizes payment on invoices for items or services purchased. Forwards to Bureau of Financial Management/Budgets and Reports (BFMBR) for payment.

Calculates proper space allocations for each employee. Coordinates the movement of all employees into DHS locations.

Prepares analysis for various county offices and DHS Offices.

Works with the DHS Fixed Assets Officer to coordinate the purchase, delivery, and/or relocation of all fixed assets. Manages the furniture ordering process. Coordinates the delivery of fixed assets to various DHS offices. Coordinates the moving of desks, file cabinets, storage cabinets, computers, and other fixed assets with Facilities Management staff and/or contracted moving vendors.

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday with a one-hour lunch period

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year as an Administrative Officer 1;OR three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; ORany equivalent combination of experience and training.
